Show principles or mantras of the day before I start working

Idea: when I open up my mac, lookaway takes over my screen and anchors my morning in the direction i want it to go, before my mind is hijacked by slack and email.Problem: I get overstimulated at work. Too many tabs, emails, slacks etc. If I don't output work in the early morning, i'm too frazzled to concentrate after so much input. However, I am a dopamine junkie so unconsciously, if i turn on my macbook and slack email and my tabs are all automatically open, I will start reading all the emails and start to get overwhelmed. Right now I am using reminders on my mac to send a small notification at 9am saying 'OUTPUT OVER INPUT', but sometimes it doesn't work and I bypass it. I LOVE the way lookaway takes over the screen and forces breaks, it's a CNS lifesaver. I would love something similar to help reorientate me in the morning and perhaps customise it to remind me throughout the day for different things, similar to posture and blink.

Hi Dean, I totally get you, and this is a feature I am planning as a part of the upcoming Wind down feature: https://lookaway.userjot.com/board/p/wind-down

Hi Kushagra! OK, how would this work with the wind down feature? Because I am talking more about the first thing I see when I open my laptop and login

Wind down will do 2 things after you set your work hours: 1. Show a blocker like the current break screen after your work hours are over. You can jot down notes on it for the next morning 2. When you open your Mac the next day, it will show a welcome screen with the notes you wrote (similar to how you describe it). Then you can start working whenever you're ready by hitting a button. Does that make sense?
