Planned Break confusion

I use a 60 minute planned break for lunch but sometimes I start (and end) early. In this situation, I don't start the Lookaway Planned Break early, I just leave. But when I come back to my computer, I only have the options to start the long break, delay or skip for today. Starting or delaying the Planned Break isn't an option, skipping for today ruins my stats. What I need is an option to communicate that I already started and when (so I take the whole break). Does this make sense? Am I using the Planned Break feature wrong? Or is there a feature worth adding?

Hi Tillmann, You're not using it wrong. Here's what LookAway does today: When you step away, it counts your time away against the planned break window. If it covers the whole window, the break is marked as taken and you never see a prompt. But only minutes inside the window count. Lunch at 12:00–13:00, away 11:40–12:40, and it only sees 40 of the 60 minutes, so it assumes the break hasn't happened and asks. On stats: "Ignore today" doesn't reduce your score. Planned breaks are exempt from the skip penalty. All it does is leave that lunch unrecorded for the day. Is that acceptable as-is, or would you want it to work differently? If so, tell me what you'd expect to happen when you come back.

Thanks for clarifying! It's definitely acceptable as is. In case you ever consider further improvements of Planned Breaks: For me, ideally PB would go into the score. But only then my initial request would be relevant. PS: I would have never requested a scoring feature but now that it exists, I find it a nice metric and nudge. Thanks for all your work!

Sounds good, i'll flag it as a feature request.
