Pauses when I connect to another monitor

If I have the 'Screen recording or sharing' setting turned on, and I use DisplayLink to connect to an external monitor, it thinks I'm screensharing and pauses the LookAway app :/ Obviously, for now, I've just turned the 'Screen recording and sharing' setting off.

Hi Laura, sorry for the late reply. I looked into this and realized that DisplayLink uses screen sharing under the hood for extending your screen and that's why LookAway's screen recording/sharing detection kicks off. There's nothing that can be done as of now (I can't reliably detect which app is triggering it so I can't silently ignore DisplayLink). If I find a solution for this in the future, I'll let you know.

I'm not sure if this a different request or a vote in the opposite direction... When I plug an hdmi cable into my macbook and it starts screen mirroring, I would like that to count as "Screen sharing" so that LookAway will pause if I'm leading an in-person meeting.

Hi Carl, smart pause on screen mirroring will be available in a future update. Thank you for the suggestion
